Cernit Metallic polymer clay is used in microsculpture to create jewelry (pins, earrings, pendants, bracelets, necklaces…) flowers and other decorative objects.
Once the Cernit clay is taken out of its package, it is recommended to “knead” it for a while in the palm of the hand in order to make it softer and more malleable.
If you want to further increase its plasticity and make it even softer – without changing its color, however – you can mix it with Cernit Soft Mix.
Maximum mixing ratio: 1/3 Cernit Soft Mix with 2/3 Cernit polymer clay.
Caution ! Do not microwave.
After firing, Cernit clay becomes particularly hard and waterproof, while retaining a relative elasticity. It can be carved, drilled, sanded with fine sandpaper, mixed with decorative stones, colored with acrylic paints and water varnished.
